I have followed the directions in the Install and am having problems.  I was able to get to the setup.asp page, but not I can't get to the /admin portion of the directions.  Getting 404 errors and the new IIS is different then its previous versions for setting things up.  Any help would be great.

Thanks

Here is another scenario I could consider:  I have the helpdesk up and running on a Windows 2003 Server.  I would like to move it to a Windows 2008 Server.  What items have to be installed in 2008 server?  There are SEVERAL IIS components and I just need to know which of them this software needs.  Also, once everything is installed, what items need to be customized from the default settings in IIS 7?  The Install instructions that come with the software do not get this in-depth.

Thanks

Did you set up classic ASP on IIS? I explain some of this in this post:

However I was focused on moving an existing Help Desk installation to a new (64-bit) Server 2008 R2 host.

Has anyone solved this yet?

I am having the same problem. I am using Server 2008 64 bit R2. I have installed all the ASP features and set the correct permissions to the helpdesk folder. On step 4 it says to open www.yourdomain.com/helpdesk/admin. I get a page cannot be displayed.

500 - Internal server error.

There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

Thanks..

You might compare your web site config to the example in my article:

http://www.mcbsys.com/techblog/2010/07/moving-liberum-help-desk-to-sql-2005-express/

See the section "Create and Configure the Web Site." I seem to recall that the Enable Parent Paths settings may cause the error you have.

Post back if you find a solution.
