We have one of the original versions of Liberum HD and our IT dept. has used it extensively for many years.  We have not needed to upgrade our version, but we have recently moved the location of our email server.  I made sure to install JMail on the email server, but we are still getting the dreaded JMail error:

“Application Error

Number:  -2147418113 (0x8000FFFF)

Source:  jmail.Message

Description:  The message was undeliverable.  All servers failed to receive the message.

Is there any special configuration of JMail that we need to do?  I know the path we have in the admin settings is correct because some of our staff do not see the error when submitting tickets, and the "Send Test Message" works as well.  Any suggestions you have would really help....!

If you want a guess, your isp began blocking port 25.  I think the jmail error message occurs when the smtp server is unreachable.

Hi Doug,

There's no blocking of the email server; I know this because other online systems we use can reach it no problem.  Also, SOME staff can use the help desk (submit, update, etc.) and they DON'T see the JMail error, or they'll not see it and then see it the next day.  Very weird.  I was thinking it was a DNS issue, but that would affect everyone equally I would guess.  Also, does there need to be special access by a specific user account on the email server for the JMail code to shake hands appropriately?

Is there anything else I can add that would help?  Thanks in adavance for your help!!

Maybe some intermittent network problem?  Or maybe some invalid email address(es) somewhere in the db.
